Congregational Leader Tim and Candyce Hyslip
Tim and Candyce have exhibited a sincere love
for the LORD, and have exercised the faith, gifts and calling through
various ministries. Tim is originally from Arizona and was brought
up in a traditional Assemblies of God home. After going to SAGU he
received a Bachelor of Science in Church Ministries, with a specialization
in Cross Cultural Missions, and became a Licensed Minister with the
Assemblies of God. In continuing his education he has begun Yeshiva
Courses with the MJAA (Messianic Jewish Alliance of America). Tim has
been actively involved in lay ministry as well as formal positions
since 1992. He has served on numerous missions trips, along with the
position of children’s pastor, youth pastor,
Charter School principal, bar/batmitzvah director, Discipleship minister,
and Associate Messianic Pastor to name a few. He has co-authored and
co-taught “Mishpacha- A Messianic Discipleship Course” since
2000, and is currently pastoring Congregation Baruch HaShem in Anthem,
AZ.
While Candyce’s heritage is Sephardic (Spanish and Jewish), she
comes from a lineage of 3 generations of Assemblies of God church planters
and pastors. In her Messianic upbringing, the opportunities to serve
in ministry positions began when her father planted a messianic congregation
in 1992, after the death of her mother. Since that time she has had filled
the positions of children’s minister, youth minister, dance leader,
counselor, along with many other areas of service. During her college
years she was on the YMJA Planning Committee and began a messianic outreach
on her SAGU campus. Candyce has been serving in the area of praise and
worship since 1995 and continues to serve alongside her husband as his
counterpart and best friend.
Together their heart is to reach people for the Kingdom of God, and
to see them delivered, discipled and multiplied. They are dedicated to
upholding the WORD with a circumcised heart, and serving in humility
and excellence.
Tim and Candyce also have three sons Aaron and Isaac and baby Josiah.

Our Congregation
The idea of Baruch HaShem first began on a late
summer’s night
in June of 2000. After preaching about the Bride of Messiah in Prescott
AZ, a request by Assemblies of God leadership was made to the Hyslips
to begin a messianic congregation in Phoenix. While the request was kindly
received, it was temporarily placed aside until the LORD took that spark
and kindled it into a great fire of need, passion and vision for Phoenix.
After much praying, fasting, training and testing we were blessed and
released to embark on the adventure of planting Congregation Baruch HaShem.
Today the LORD has brought together many wonderful families, even from
different areas of the country to begin this work. These co-laborers
have become like family to us and we are honored to be working alongside
such precious and gifted individuals.
While our congregation is predominately Jewish in culture and lifestyle,
we are a unique tapestry of people from many different walks of life
and ethnic backgrounds. You will find most people here tender hearted
and passionately chasing after the heart of the Father. We are devoted
to understanding and emulating the personage and life of our Redeemer,
Messiah Yeshua. Even so, we welcome the work and moving of the Holy Spirit
in our lives and service to accomplish the will of the Father and to
make His glory known.
